Job Description: Assists in executing large scale landscaping/hardscaping operations. Participates with other laborers in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers, seeding and sodding lawns, transplanting shrubs and plants, and using manual and power-operated equipment; makes sure equipment is used safely and properly. Plants new and repairs established lawns using seed or sod. Locates and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers according to a landscape plan. Trims shrubs and cultivates gardens. Installs small or large scale retaining walls using pre-cast retaining wall blocks, cinder blocks, or stone. Installs and/or builds ponds, fountains, arbors, fences or pergolas. Builds custom fire pits or fireplaces out of stone, cinder block, or pre-cast concrete materials. Dig trenches and install drains.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive heavy construction equipment; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment and/or assistance; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. Must work overtime as required.

- Have GED or 1 year work experience

- Be able to read a tape measure in feet and inches
- Be able to se a level to determine slope and plumb
- Be able to lift and load 60lb and use wheelbarrow
